Sounds Like San Diego: June 7

There's a time when I have to remember to drop the "local" when referring to certain bands. I mean, yes, we are proud to call bands like Little Hurricane local, but there can also be a limit that the term creates. In the case of Little Hurricane, the band has been touring all over the country, and having been featured on Taco Bell campaigns hasn't hurt the band, either. So, yes, they're local, and take pride in being a San Diego band, but at the same time, we have to accept that they're all grown up and local appearances might be fewer and farther between. With that in mind, you should really make a point to catch them on Saturday at the House of Blues. I recently heard their pre-tour rehearsal, and all their new material from Gold Fever is great. Their "Afternoon Delight" cover in the aforementioned ad campaign isn't too shabby, as well.
