Sunset Sessions is in full swing in Carlsbad, and the Belly Up showcases are open to the public -- with a ticket purchased, of course. Meanwhile, Sister Juanita is picking up the slack at the Casbah, filling in for the canceled Margot and the Nuclear So and So's show. Our pick of the night, however, is the Donkeys at the Irenic. They've made what we think is their best record ever, and you can see them at this rare all-ages show and make fans out of your kids, too. Still there are plenty of great shows all over town to get your weekend started right.
