Some nights we have to just appreciate this city for the talent that exists within it. For example, what better way to enjoy this summer weather than strolling through Balboa Park and arriving at Panama 66 for the weekly jazz jam with a craft beer or cocktail in your hand while your kids run around the sculpture garden? Or if you're itching for hip-hop, you meander down to the Casbah and catch the super popular monthly Battle Bot competition? Personally, while stunned by the sudden death of Chris Cornell, I can't say I haven't been looking forward to tonight's Under Cover at the Office, where your favorite local musicians pay tribute with music from his entire catalog. It's gonna be emotional and cathartic and I can't imagine being anywhere else.
