It's crazy to think that the very first year of the Lollapalooza tour was more than 25 years ago. I was in junior high that year, and growing up in Chula Vista (and playing tennis at Southwestern College since I was a child), in my mind, the tour was the biggest thing to happen to Chula Vista, ever! The bands were epic, and even if you couldn't afford a ticket, we knew all the great spots nearby to hear the entire show. My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult was one of the bands on that first Lollapalooza, and now as they prepare for a 30th anniversary as a band, they're starting with this small club tour. Around town, catch Curren$y at the Observatory, Milwaukee's indie-punks Jaill are at Soda bar, and Hibou is at House of Blues.
