The Casbah welcomes instrumental metal gods Pelican, who have returned with a brilliant album after a four-year hiatus. Soda Bar hosts Star Anna, a standout alt-country performer who should help the whiskey go down smooth. French sleazy-rockers Magnetix perform at Bar Pink, which should get pretty ugly in the best possible way, and Les Claypool of Primus appears with his Duo de Twang at the Belly Up. If you're down to chill, consider Jackson Price and Daniel Crawford at the intimate Sycamore Den, where space is limited but everyone is welcome and artists are respected by a quiet audience.
