Sounds Like San Diego: June 11

Find out why the Cincinnati-based duo's infectious pop sound and unique instrumentation was a critic's favorite in 2009

I love record labels who carefully cull its artists so that you kind of know what to expect whenever a new band is signed or when a new album is released. One such label is Dangerbird Records. Its roster speaks to my indie leanings with bands like Minus the Bear, the One AM Radio, Sea Wolf and  Silversun Pickups. Also on its roster was Bad Veins, whom toured heavily through 2008-2009 passing through San Diego over the years. The band may have parted ways with their label, but it set them on a trajectory even as Dangerbird alumni. Bad Veins return to the Casbah Tuesday with their catchy indie-pop songs and unique instruments making the duo worth seeing. Harriet and Grampa Drew will open the night for a guaranteed good show.
