Sounds Like San Diego: June 10

I think back just a few years and there wasn't always this bounty of music in San Diego. I'd like to see it to stay this way forever. On Tuesday at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre (seriously?) we have the Fray headlining with two awesome support acts in Oh Honey and Barcelona. Be sure to get there early if you have tickets. Meanwhile at Bar Pink, Soft Lions team up with Fea, featuring members of Texas' Girl in a Coma. I think five records under their belts earns the Current Swell the title of "veteran indie rockers" -- you can catch the Canadians at Soda Bar. Meanwhile, the Casbah welcomes King Buzzo, a k a Buzz Osbourne, of the Melvins. Buzz just released his first ever solo acoustic record after decades of touring and albums, and I don't know what to expect from this show as it's the first solo show on the seven-week tour. And I really think the not knowing might be the best part.
