Aloe Blacc's Marathon Finish

Aloe Blacc closes out San Diego's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon at Petco Park

Sleep. Eat. Music. Repeat. This weekend has had so many opportunities for live music, and they just don't stop. Today is the return of the annual Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, which bands and stages set up along the 26.2 mile course and ending at Petco Park, where the runners and general public are invited to the finish line concert with Aloe Blacc. It's fair to say that Avicii's remix of "Wake Me Up" helped him reach superstardom, but there are some of us who still remember the incredibly gracious and amazing person who performed at the Casbah just a few years back. You might want to hop on the bus or a bike because the race course is going to make driving a challenge. Later in the day, head up to Solana Beach for Fiesta Del Sol and stick around to catch one of our favorites, Mariachi El Bronx. By night, Pete Yorn performs a sold-out show at the Casbah, Ratty DJs at Bar Pink, and LA's Incan Abraham return with a show at Soda Bar.
