Sounds Like San Diego: July 5

The fireworks continue: Switchfoot drop their new album on the Bay

I'm not sure if you heard, but over the weekend a record producer who works with Blink-182 made some obnoxious and disparaging remarks about San Diego and claimed the band "put San Diego on the map." After I threw up in my mouth a little bit, I was thinking about other San Diego acts who've gone on to great fame and while there are plenty, you'd be hard pressed to find nicer and more humble guys than Switchfoot. In advance of this weekend's Bro-Am, the band is dropping their new album, "Where The Light Shines Through," and hosting their release party on the massive Inspiration Hornblower. It's definitely a show worth catching on what should be a gorgeous night on the Big Bay.
