This weekend is certainly chockful of great music. On Saturday, you can enjoy Blackout Party, School of Rock and more as they once again support Alex's Lemonade Stand, a national event raising money for pediatric cancer. You can catch stands all over, but the bands will be at 32nd and Thorn streets in South Park. By night, you'll have a lot to choose from, but I'd recommend dropping by Tin Can to say goodbye to one of my favorite songwriters. Matt Curreri is packing it up and moving to the East Coast, but he will certainly be missed. Over the years he's been on the circuit as a solo artist, as the frontman for Ex-Friends and played with a rotating cast of incredible San Diego musicians, all eager to bring his quirky songwriting to life. Farewell, good friend, it's sad to see you go.
