Sounds Like San Diego: July 19

Men at Work frontman Colin Hay stops in for a sold-out show at the Belly Up Wednesday

All the cameras and lights are shining on San Diego this week as Comic-Con kicks off and the ponies start running at Del Mar. Don't let all of that overwhelm you and keep in mind we still have some great music in town this week. At the Belly Up, amazing singer-songwriter and frontman of Men At Work, Colin Hay, plays the first of two nights (read the SoundDiego interview with him here). Thursday's show is already sold out, so don't miss your chance to catch him. Meanwhile, the Green Flash Concert Series has been a little bit under the radar this year, but our friend Steve Poltz is performing in one of the coolest spots to see a show, with panoramic views of the Pacific and a stage built on top of tidepools. The Casbah has a Kaaboo Discovery showcase, with doors opening at 7 p.m., and Bar Pink hosts a Ramones tribute night. If you really want to take it back, Hall & Oates appear with Tears for Fears at Valley View Casino Center and the Happy Together Tour stops in at Humphreys.
