It's been an eventful first week of 2017, but the weekend is still here to offer us plenty of musical fun to keep it going. At the Belly Up, join local legends for the annual Beat Farmers Hootenanny, including the Paladins, who don't make a whole lot of appearances these days. At Music Box, catch sets of up-and-comers all day long with headliners Frankie J and The Big Pink. The latter had a huge hit with "Dominos" a few years back, and they are presumably celebrating new music to add to their catalog. At Casbah, Fu Manchu had to postpone due to an injured bandmember, but Schizophonics and the Loons have stepped up for a $5 show. Around town, Grizzly Business are at Soda Bar, Lenguas Largas play a matinee at Bar Pink, and the Debonairs play SD City Soul Club at Til-Two.
