Sounds Like San Diego: January 5

The Henry Clay People are coming back to San Diego, and I couldn't be more excited about this show. I've believed in the band's talents for years and watched as they rode a wave of blog hype that got coveted spots at Coachella and other summer festivals, but the reality is that this band will always sound best in a bar where they can personally engage with the audience. I love seeing bands succeed and make it big, but sometimes, selfishly, I want to see them play small clubs forever among other devout fans. With locals the Bloody Hollies and the New Kinetics opening, I would suggest some good earplugs and taking a cab to this one.
