Sounds Like San Diego: January 4

I don't know about you, but my new year kicked off with three days in bed with a horrible cold, so I'm so happy to be feeling better so I can be there as the Casbah kicks of their monthlong anniversary celebration. The little venue that could has been around for 23 years, breaking national and local talent and being the center of San Diego's independent music scene. The first show of 2012 kicks off a weekly residency for Olin & the Moon and Maxim Ludwig & the Santa Fe Seven, and each week they will have one local band as support. Tonight, that spot belongs to Jesse LaMonaca & the Dime Novels. I'll be wearing my cowboy boots and am forecasting whiskey in my future. Hope to see you there.
