I don't know a lot of people from Kansas City, but the few I do know are beside themselves that Reggie & the Full Effect are performing at Soda Bar. A side-project of James Dewees of the Get Up Kids, the band makes its return to San Diego after more than a couple "farewell" shows over the years. This is a chance for all the old skate and surf punks of the '90s to relive a former glory. Meanwhile, the Casbah is sold out with Off!, Commune return with a free show at Bar Pink, and Robert Delong makes a surprising appearance at the Griffin, where one can only wonder how long of a set he'll have besides "Global Concepts."
