Sounds Like San Diego: January 26

Check out our full show listings for Sunday night in San Diego

Have you ever been to a Casbah matinee show? Today is your chance, as Gary Heffern and Friends perform. Consider it a continuation of the band's earlier appearance at the Casbah opening for X, or the next night when the Penetrators reunited for the anniversary of the venue. Only this time, it's in the day, with the sunshine and as your eyes learn to adjust from the bright smoking patio to the always-dark stage. There are some other great acts on the bill, and videographer and photographer Eric Rife will unveil clips from his forthcoming documentary spanning the last few decades of music in San Diego. If you're still in bed when the sun is out, fret not, because Mutual Benefit will ease your Sunday at Soda Bar (read our interview with the band here), Old Man Markley will rock the Casbah for the evening show, and Hot Tuna get the burners out of OB and up to Solana Beach for the night.
