Sounds Like San Diego: Jan. 23

Jesse Malin headlines the Casbah

If you want to start off your week with some edgy rock & roll, look no further than the Casbah for Jesse Malin. The New Yorker formed his first band at 12 years old, and he's never shown any signs of slowing down, though you can be sure he's grown and evolved with time and attacks some heavy themes with his music. And don't ask me how they do it, but Schizophonics open the show, so if you missed them on Friday, here's another chance to catch them this month. Around town, Jeff Bridges plays a sold out show at Belly Up, Tori Roze plays Bar Pink and metal act Malice play Brick by Brick.
