Sounds Like San Diego: Jan. 22

Portland Cello Project give classical take on modern songs

It's a really great night of music in San Diego, so if you were thinking about staying in tonight, you might want to rethink your plan. In Escondido, Portland Cello Project descend on California Center for the Arts with their stringed take on pop songs, while Rooney resurrect with a show at the Holding Company. At Whistle Stop, catch Warbly Jets, who were here earlier this month at the SpringBoard West music festival, or skank your Sunday away to the sounds of the Toasters at the Casbah. There is a surprising amount of live music options this Sunday night, so get on out and get some.
