Few people can predict the next breakout indie buzz band, though many try. It seems like every day that tastemaking blogs find a new band to champion. I can't say with any certainty that Veronica Falls or Foxy Shazam are going to be huge a year from now, but I can tell you that the blogosphere has been buzzing about both, so what's the harm in seeing if they're worth the hype? Veronica Falls is a four-piece from London that made a splash at last year's SXSW conference. Foxy Shazam is a Cincinnati rock band that has been around for several years. They got a bump in notoriety from a spotlight slot on last year's Warped Tour, and have toured with bands like Portugal. The Man, the Strokes, and the Dear Hunter, to name a few. If those don't tickle your fancy, the Darrows are a San Diego band worth being on your radar.
