FM 94/9's About the Music series is one of the best consistent events this town has to offer. You get to see great bands with low ticket prices, all while donating $1 of every ticket to benefit music education in local schools.
The shows are usually at the Belly Up, so it's no surprise that tonight's show at Casbah has been sold out for some time, but for those who planned ahead, know that you're in for a treat. While headliners Film School are L.A.-based, bassist Lorelei Metze (nee Plotzyck) now calls San Diego home, and the band's latest record is on local label Hi-Speed Soul Records.
