Sounds Like San Diego: Feb. 19-21

We mentioned Steve Poltz on Thursday when writing about Bob Schneider, so it only makes sense that we're so excited to see him at his sold-out show Friday night at the Belly Up. Poltz has been in San Diego's music community for more than 20 years, but looking at him you wouldn't believe he's celebrating his 50th birthday, so he'll have tons of great guests like Gregory Page, Anya Marina, A.J. Croce and others, as well as both of his bands, the Rugburns and Steve Poltz and the Cynics. The show is also the release party for his latest record, Dreamhouse. Poltz has traded beer chugging for Bikhram's Yoga, so his shows are perhaps tamer than in the past, but his energy and storytelling have never gotten stale.
