It isn't unusual for bands to split and members to go their separate ways, or to just evolve to the point that the individuals go off and do side- or solo projects. On Thursday, you can go the the Irenic and catch Toh Kay, best known for his years with Streetlight Manifesto but whose solo music just kind of gets you in a little happy groove with his simple guitar strumming. Meanwhile, Anthony Raneri, mostly known as the frontman of Bayside, appears at Soda Bar. At the Casbah, check out an all-local night with Creature & the Woods in the headlining spot, Ocelot drop in at the Belly Up, and at Music Box, Random Rab brings trippy, visual-driven meditative trance.
