Sounds Like San Diego: December 7

Here's a confession from a music addict: sometimes when the Casbah is closed, I don't know what to do with myself. I don't have a functioning TV, and while I'm sure I could find ways to fill the time, last night I flew to San Francisco to see Other Lives. Tonight, I'm back and looking forward to once again seeing the Sea and Cake. The band's 2008 record, Car Alarm, received great critical reviews, and tonight's show will be one for their devoted fan base. On the other side of town, Red Fang returns to San Diego, this time at the Soda Bar. The Portland-based metal band also has a devoted fan base, and with locals Archons and Ghetto Blaster opening, there is some serious midweek face-melting about to go down.
