Sounds Like San Diego: Dec. 5

I've been excited for Saturday for a very long time. "The Glamour and the Squalor" is a documentary about the life and times of Marco Collins, who was a DJ at 91x for years before moving to Seattle and starting The End 107.7. He is also largely credited with changing the trajectory of "college" and "alternative" radio by introducing grunge to the world. He's an amazing human, and he'll be doing a Q&A after the film with the movie's director, and Octagrape and Big Bad Buffalo will be playing after all of that. It will be a very special night and should not be missed by anyone who is interested in the history of music. Around town, the Milk Carton Kids are at the Balboa Theatre, Little Hurricane are sold out at the Casbah, Slightly Stoopid are sold out at the Belly Up, and the only Ned Flanders metal band, Okilly Dokilly, play at Soda Bar.
