Sounds Like San Diego: December 4

There are certain artists who come through town that are a totally amazing blast from the past. Howie Day is one of those artist. Ten years ago, his second album, Stop All the World Now, was released, and I was just out of a nightmarish relationship, and that album became one of those that I clung to. I knew it front and back, word for word, and it was my soundtrack for getting on with my life. Day is performing on Wednesday at the Griffin and while I'm not as familiar with his more recent material, the guy still has that voice and those songs, and I will be giving him a giant "thank you."
