Sounds Like San Diego: December 26

Perhaps you're still enjoying the post-Christmas bliss, but supposing that you're looking for some live music on Wednesday, you just might find something you like. The Griffin offers up a grab bag of electronic delights, while Anthology hosts a Stones vs. Beatles night. For fans of new Americana, try 22 Kings at Tin Can, or if you're on the hunt for some garage, you probably want to head to Soda Bar for Tijuana's San Pedro El Cortez. Finally, hip-hop takes over the Casbah, with Turquoise Jeep, which started as a label posting tongue-in-cheek videos but has evolved to legions of YouTube fans and a notable release with Childish Gambino. Then again, if you're still in holiday mode and just want to chill with some friends, maybe it's a good night to head to Seven Grand and check out the new home of Gilbert Castellanos' weekly open jazz jam. Music is in the air, you just have to dig a little deeper to find it.
