Sounds Like San Diego: August 6

A few months ago, there was a great internet meme featuring the trailer of the film Drive soundtracked by Kenny Loggins. The point of the video mock-up was to demonstrate just how different the film would have been without the soundtrack that became such a force. On Monday, you can see the music from the film performed live as well as other pulsating driving beats by the likes of College, Anoraak and Electric Youth. The tour promises to bring a unique night to the Casbah that will be different from the more common indie-rock fare that we're used to, but it's certainly good to mix things up and keep it fresh. If you're really a fan of the movie, there will be a special midnight screening this Saturday night at the Ken Cinema to keep on your radar.
