I always figured that enough music was out there on the internet that a paid subscription service seemed a little bit crazy, but between Slacker and Sirius XM, I can mindlessley flip on a station and hear all of the new music I want to hear, without having to interrupt work or other activities to search new music, download anything, or change an antiquated CD. I listen to XMU a whole lot, and everytime Majical Cloudz comes on, my ears perk up a little bit and I have to check who is playing through the speakers. Apparently I'm not the only one loving this Montreal duo because they're nominated for the Polaris Prize, which is Canada's version of the Grammys Best New Artist category. Majical's show at the Casbah should be a good one, and it will be a great opportunity to see them in a smaler venue with an intimate crowd. There might not be the case a next time when they roll into town again, so I'd suggest seeing them before they get big.
