Sounds Like San Diego: Aug. 9

Counting Crows headline the Del Mar racetrack on Saturday night

This weekend is jam-packed with fun shows to hit and vinyl to buy. Today the Casbah hosts the one year anniversary of the Vinyl Junkies Record Swap. It's always a fun day to co-mingle with musicians and fellow audiophiles while you sift through the many record collections. By evening, you'll have your chance to remember the '90s as Counting Crows perform for Del Mar Thoroughbred Club's Summer Concert Series, and Toad the Wet Sprocket perform at the Belly Up. I don't think it will be a problem to catch both shows, and since the bands have toured together in the past, you wouldn't be mincing loyalty either. I'm not going to lie, both were two of my very favorites back in the day and I've seen both more times than I can count on my fingers. If you're nostalgic like me, today is a pretty great day for reliving those memories.
