    NEWSLETTERS

Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to sweat when you shake your body with the crowd that will certainly gather for Wednesday's Monophonics vs. Orgone party at the Casbah. Both bands fall into the funk and soul world, and both do it masterfully. Each band will perform a set, and they'll also have a full set together, which means you can shake right over that midweek hump. Around town, Michael Nesmith of Monkees fame performs at the Belly Up, monthly events Commune and Sway both go down in North Park, and Minneapolis indie-rockers Howler perform at Soda Bar.
