Sounds Like San Diego: April 3

Karl Denson's Tiny Universe return to the Belly Up for a second night.

The weekend is here, but if you're on spring break, chances are it makes no difference to you. For the rest of us working saps, it couldn't come soon enough. On Friday, you can catch the second night of Karl Denson's Tiny Universe performing RUN DMC at the Belly Up or see some Chicago rock from Disappears at the Casbah. Soda Bar welcomes back our hometown heroes, the Donkeys (we shot them live at SxSW -- watch it HERE); Bonobo -- who has sold out the Casbah, Belly Up and House of Blues -- come to the Observatory for a DJ set (which I suspect is going to be much more amazing than it sounds), and Silent Comedy's good pal Bryan John Appleby plays at the Loft at UCSD. Of course, you can go to a free show with one of Al Howard's many projects, Rebecca Jade & the Cold Fact, at the Whistle Stop with Verigolds. While there's lots to do, the tricky part will be whittling it down to one option.
