Sounds Like San Diego: April 3

It's funny when secret shows get announced. Clearly you can tell that it isn't much of a secret if certain tastemakers, like Tim Pyles of FM 94/9, post a blog about it, even without mentioning the band's name. A half-poster can easily be searched on Google images to unlock the key. And, really, a secret show is only successful if people actually show up, but not too many as to draw the attention of authorities. So, anyway, yes, Wavves are playing a "secret show" at the Hideout, where this weekend the bar celebrates its re-grand opening as transit construction has mostly wrapped on the corner of 35th and El Cajon. Heavy Hawaii open the show. Meanwhile, down at the Casbah, Lo-Fang headline on the heels of an opening slot for Lorde's recent tour. This one is certainly going to be an artist you'll be hearing from, and, if other reviews count, a show that will blow your mind/leave you stunned.
