Sounds Like San Diego: April 27

San Fermin return to the Casbah Thursday -- amid a gluttony of live music options around town

I used to have this friend in high school who would see me and with big eyes say, "DUDE! Du-du-Doo-doo DUDE!" It would usually take a while for him to actually spit out what he was so excited about, but sometimes when I see the shows we've got going on, it's hard to keep calm. Tonight at the Casbah is the return of San Fermin. This will be the band's third time at the venue, though the lineup is ever evolving so you can expect even the familiar to sound fresh and new. The band's third release, "Belong," though only out for a few weeks, has received glowing critical praise and you should definitely consider making this show fit into your Thursday night plans. Then again, with Bostonians Pile playing at Soda Bar, perhaps your leanings are more post-hardcore than orchestral. Or maybe you just need more hip-hop in your life, in which case DMX and Too Short bring the pain at the Observatory. And even with all those options, you may just find yourself at Bar Pink, because who doesn't find Schizophonics and the Goldettes irresistable??
