It feels like it was a really long week -- am I right? I cannot wait to unwind this weekend with some great shows and events around town. My Friday night is still up for grabs. If I can muster the energy, I'll head up to the Belly Up to catch Transfer, who recently returned from their European support dates with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. With Dead Feather Moon and Grand Tarantula opening, this is a killer San Diego lineup. If I don't want to travel quite so far from home, another killer local lineup will be waiting for me at the Casbah, where the Howls will be joined by New Mexico, Burning of Rome and Bruin. Around town, though, Various Cruelties headline at the Soda Bar, the Alkaline Trio return to San Diego with another show at the House of Blues, and Beach Day headline at the Void. Friday night is going to be a great kickoff to a great weekend.
