Sounds Like San Diego: April 25

Futurebirds, the Distillers, Less Than Jake and others head up SD's Wednesday live-music action

Today is one of those days where it is not fun to work at the Casbah. The Distillers are playing and the show sold out in minutes so it feels like everyone I've ever known is asking for tickets. It's unfun, but no doubt tonight's show should be one for the history books. The same, I'm sure, can be said about the Less Than Jake and Face to Face show at the Belly Up which is also sold out (though you might still be able to snag a ticket to Face to Face at Brick By Brick tomorrow). For those of you country lovers out there, maybe you are heading to Stagecoach this weekend or perhaps you're not, but just like "Localchella," tonight you can catch Walker McGuire and Temecula Road at Moonshine Beach in Pacific Beach. Lastly, if you want to keep it indie with a tinge of country, head to Soda Bar for Futurebirds who recently dropped a new EP, "Portico II," which feels very much like their hometown of Athens, Georgia.
