Sounds Like San Diego: April 25

There are so many rad things happening this weekend that it's really hard not to be excited. Kick off the weekend with Reader on Tap. The weekly is sponsoring a craft-beer event with various local breweries and some of our favorite bands: Transfer, Dead Feather Moon, the Creepy Creeps, Low Volts and Schitzophonics. And, with full disclosure that I work at the North Park Theatre, I can't wait for everyone to see how amazing the place looks after some renovations, like adding tiered flooring for better sightlines and permanent bars in the theatre lobby to accomodate all patrons more efficiently during shows. It's going to be a great night, and after it all ends at 10 p.m., you can get yourself over to Soda Bar for Night Beats, check out Thee Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra at the Casbah, or Ilya at the Hideout to keep the party going.

We visit Transfer's frontman, Matt Molarius, in Ocean Beach to talk about the band's pensive video for "Reflections of Home" and how San Diego finally feels like his hometown.
