Sounds Like San Diego: April 19

Coachella acts Alt-J, Haim, and Jessie Ware are SD's main concert attractions Thursday

I wish I had the stamina for festivals, because in retrospect, this year's Coachella lineup was pretty amazing as we're seeing all of these acts trickle through town. I watched both Haim and Alt-J on the streaming feed of the festival and can assure you that both shows warrant being sold out tonight. But perhaps you're over it and you just want things to go back to normal with our happy small club shows in reasonable-sized venues where you don't have to wait an hour for a drink or to use the facilities. In that case, head to the Whistle Stop to catch San Diego's funkiest drummer and his new project: Jake Najor & the Moment of Truth. Meanwhile, our friends Jason Hanna & the Bullfighters, fresh off their March 30 SoundDiego LIVE party performance, make another appearance at Bar Pink, and Grateful Shred return to the Casbah. If you're heading to the Belly Up for Jessie Ware, get there early for local Cailin Russo, daughter of Unwritten Law's Scott Russo and namesake of their 1998 hit, who has proven to be quite a musical talent in her own right.
