Sounds Like San Diego: April 19

Silversun Pickups bring Coachella to the Observatory Tuesday

I wasn't personally at Coachella this weekend, but I did enjoy my share of Couchella, as YouTube broadcast three channels of live music. And perhaps I was biased going in, but one of the best sets I caught was Silversun Pickups, who play a sold out show Tuesday at the Observatory North Park. I know it's harsh if you don't already have tickets, but maybe next time around you won't snooze on one of the best and most genuine bands of the last decade. Meanwhile, the Damned and Creepy Creeps sold out the Belly Up, too, so what are you to do? Well, Casbah, Merrow and Soda Bar all have fun local lineups, but if you need something new, head up to UCSD to catch Judah and the Lion at the Loft.
