There's a lovely couple in San Diego. Charles and Key Eck are like a lot of us -- young, happy, healthy, work hard. The couple was married and then bought a house and shared their home-improvement projects and adventures on social media. So when a city sewer line backed up and flooded their home with raw sewage, you can only imagine the devastation. For the past several months, they've spent days and nights sorting through legal options, while the city and their insurance have declined any responsibility. Charles is an amicable and well-known dude in the local beer community, so with tons of donations available for raffle along with a great show featuring local musicians, our community is coming together to scrape together some money to help this lovely couple with some of the numerous bills they've incurred. Join them tonight at the Ken Club with the Screamin Yeehaws, the Strikers and more. Around town, Whores play Casbah; Quartyard celebrates its new location with a re-opening party; and old-school San Diego act Common Sense return to their hometown spot, the Belly Up.
