Sounds Like San Diego: April 1

Generally I'm here to tell you your night has many options for live music. This Tuesday, however, is not one of those nights. Perhaps April Fools' Day is being self-aware, but you'll find more choices for comedy and karaoke (sometimes the same thing, am I right?) than live shows. Fortunately there are still a handful of great performances scheduled, like the sold-out evening with the Mavericks at the Belly Up or catch the Southern-rock grooves of Blackberry Smoke at House of Blues. If variety is what you seek, check out the home-made instruments and all-around weirdness of That 1 Guy at the Casbah, or enjoy some whisky as you stomp along to Late Night Howl at Tin Can. Still, if you want less boot stomping and music that's a bit more in your face, try Bruin at Soda Bar or Brain Scraper at Tower Bar. If you haven't heard either, maybe the time is nigh that you did.
