Sounds Like San Diego: March 29

While I'm really excited that Field Music is back after a several-year hiatus, I always have to brag about Lualta. The band has also been on hiatus for a couple of years, but I can proudly say that back in the day, Mike Hernandez played his first show on my patio. Our best friend was moving to El Salvador, and Mike had a band, and they played at my party -- my dad even slam-danced with us. It's kind of crazy that it's 20 years later (give or take) and Mike still has the swagger to take the stage and own it, just like he did when we were tweens, and no matter his project, he owns it, and everyone just rides the wave with him. Fortunately, tonight is an Anti-Monday League night, and everyone is welcome to the self-disdain party.
