The influx of Halloween parties is right around the corner. For now, there are plenty of show choices on Thursday, including the Raveonettes at the Belly Up, the XX at Soma (sold out), Less Than Jake and the Mad Caddies at House Of Blues and Grimes at Porter's Pub . On the electro/house side of things in San Diego, two shows with Porter Robinson, Zedd and Nick Thayer. The OB Oktoberfest is Friday and Saturday and you can get more info here. Friday it’s Pussy Galore at the Whistle Stop in South Park featuring local bands Gone Baby Gone and Heave Empire. I’ll be DJing with Terryn S throughout the night and there’s no cover. Grab more details here. And if that wasn’t enough, Saturday is filled with all kinds of awesome shows. The Night and Day Street Festival hits the East Village downtown with G. Love, Donovan Frankenreiter, Pato Banton, Everest, the Styletones, the Nervous Wreckords and more. Plus, there’s Weezer at Harrah's Open Sky Theater, Patti Smith at the Spreckels Theater and Smashing Pumpkins at Viejas Arena. Later on that night, join me for Club Sabbat at Numbers in Hillcrest where we take over both front and back rooms. I’ll be spinning with Doktor Zayus in front and Drew Harlander will be in the back room.
