Dance In Your Pants

As we recover from our Fourth of July shenanigans and the Big Bay Boom bust in San Diego that everyone is talking about, grab your friends and head out for a night on the town this weekend.

Moonshake takes over Kadan on Friday with the mighty Phil-Aye, plus resident DJs Quark, Dazzla and Reynolds. As always, no cover all night long. LED presents Norman Doray with Brazzabelle at Voyeur and you can get on the no cover before 10:30 p.m. list here. At Kava Lounge, Seria Star features guest DJs Samazon (who I absolutely love), Matt Cole and Marcus Edward.

On Saturday it’s a special day party at Wavehouse with Chuckie, TJR, Erick Diaz and Mossberg Pump. The fun starts at 11 a.m. and goes all the way till 10 p.m. Get your tickets via this link. More pool party action at the Lafayette with Deep End featuring Mikeytown, El Vee and Joemama. That one goes from 12:30-5:30 p.m.

There’s no shortage of events on Saturday night. At Spin Nightclub, Pocket Underground presents: Beat Soup -- a San Diego Pocket Invasion featuring Pumpkin, Idiot Savant, Sammy Bliss, J. Cush, Mikey Lion, E^2, Andrew Luna and Michael Mannino. This party brings the best of the LA and San Diego underground sound together for a night of music and art. My friend Sean Dietrich will be doing live painting and you can get more info about this after-hours event here. For your Gothic, Industrial and EBM fix, head over to the Kava Lounge for Club Ascension. Tom King, Atom, Liquid Grey and yours truly will be spinning the best in dark underground dance music. Your info is here. Boys & Girls brings you Willy Joy, Adam Salter and ColourVision at El Dorado. There’s also Broken Beat at Kadan with Austin Speed, Reactivity, Spotman and Dr. Zayaz. Plus, Lucky Date hits Voyeur with James Egbert and Mossberg Pump and you can get on the no-cover-before-10:30 p.m. list here.

For your Sunday funday, it’s Swanky Tunes, Mr. White, Rifat Ziadeh and Mossberg Pump at Wavehouse from 3-9 p.m. Get your deets here. Or at Intervention at the Hard Rock Hotel (Float) you can see Manufactured Superstars do their thing. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

You can always keep up to date on my events here. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you on the dance floor.
