Put a Little Spring in Your Step

"Spring forward, fall back.”

That phrase will be stuck in my head for all eternity. Maybe yours, too? We lose an hour of sleep once the clock strikes 2 a.m. on Sunday, so get in all the fun you can and don’t miss a beat -- there is lots to do this weekend, starting with Thursday night! I’ll be DJing during the CityBeat Local Music Issue Party at the Casbah. This show features live performances on the main stage from Maren Parusel, Italian Japanese, Low Volts and the Darrows. Get more info here. Elsewhere, Berlin-based electro/house DJ and producer Thomas Gold makes his way to Voyeur with Brazzabelle opening the event. Early-bird ticket details are here or you can check out this link.

Friday night it’s another monthly Pussy Galore event at the Whistle Stop. I’ll be DJ’ing with Terryn S between live performances from the Spells and the Filthy Violets. More info about this free event here. You also can get your dance on at Voyeur with Welsh DJ Sasha. He began his career playing acid house in the late ‘80s and since then has produced multiple UK-charting singles and remixed tracks for artists such as Madonna and the Chemical Brothers. He even received a Grammy nomination for his remix of Felix da Housecat’s Watching Cars Go By.” Sasha has been voted among the top-ten DJs in the world by readers of DJMag every year since 1997, placing first in 2000. The early-bird and discounted tickets are sold out, but you can get in on the pre-sale here. Also on Friday, check out Club Sabbat as it moves to Numbers in Hillcrest for this one night with DJs Liquid Grey and Drew Harlander.

Saturday one of the events on my radar is Dash Berlin with Victor Dinaire at 4th & B. Get ticket details here. Other things you may want to check out include Dragon Lounge at the Kava Lounge and the all-female DJ lineup La Femme at Onyx Room.

For more info about events this weekend, head over to my blog. Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead Saturday night before you leave the house and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
