Radiohead for Haiti

One of the 1 million-plus Radiohead fans on Facebook, the following scrolled through my feed:

"Radiohead for Haiti"

"We're doing a show this Sunday (24 January) to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti. The venue is the Music Box Theatre at the Fonda in Los Angeles, doors open at 7 p.m. All proceeds are going to the Oxfam Haiti relief fund. We're trying to raise as much money as possible, so tickets will be sold by auction at this site from 8 p.m. tonight (Thursday) until 11a.m. Saturday (PST). We're in the middle of recording at the moment, so you'll be catching us on the fly.... but if you're up for it, then we are, too.

"See you then x"

Interested in making the road trip and a sizable donation for a vital cause? The Ticketmaster auction runs through Saturday at 11 a.m., with a current minimum bid of $275 per ticket (there's a two-ticket limit). The entire show is general admission, and the venue is about the size of 4th and B.

UPDATE: Radiohead's showed ended up raising more than $500,000 for Oxfam Haiti.
