If you couldn’t find a way to snag those golden (lemonade-hued?) tickets though, life’s not so grand is it? Well, thanks to the fine folks at American Express and Uber, there’s a glimmer of hope that you could actually win two tickets to the show, as well as a complimentary, round-trip UberX ride to and from the concert!
Here’s how it works: Uber riders can request the “Formation” view in the Uber app after they enter the promo code FORMATIONAMEX at 1 p.m. PST. If the rider is matched with a “Formation” ride, the driver will deliver two free tickets and two ride vouchers to get you to and from the show. While it’s difficult to predict how many people will be ordering Uber rides at 1 p.m., at least San Diego Queen Bey fans will have an actual chance to win. With the Formation World Tour powering across the nation (it kicked off on April 27 in Miami, Florida), and with constant sold-out shows at every stop, acquiring tickets has been quite the challenge. A glance at StubHub.com, for example, shows that the cheapest nosebleed seats are running for $60 apiece, while floor tickets are asking for upwards of $2,500 for a pair.
