We haven't even hit Thanksgiving yet, and it's already time to start thinking about summer. On July 23, 2019, Megadeth will be joining Grammy Award-winning metal icon Ozzy Osbourne at newly anointed North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (formerly known as Mattress Firm Amphitheatre).
Ozzy's No More Tours 2 farewell tour launched in May, but he had to postpone four amphitheater and arena shows -- including his previously scheduled North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre appearance -- due to an infection. Now, he's closing out the tour here in San Diego.
As he says goodbye to touring internationally, Osbourne will be rejoicing in over 50 years as a solo artist and lead singer of Black Sabbath, but he'll also be saying hello to his first full tour with Megadeth. Talk about the right amount of fuel to add to the infernal fires of this tour.
Dave Mustaine formed Megadeth in 1983 following his dismissal from Metallica, and here's the best part: He grew up in La Mesa and, until recently, had an estate in Fallbrook.
So, yeah, this show is going to be a homecoming shred fest of epic proportions.
