Can you smell it? Festival season is here and San Diego’s weather can’t make up its mind if we’re destined to have a sunny or wet kick-off to our first Spring weekend!
Well, no doubt you can still have the time of your life (rain or shine) this weekend (March 5-6) as CRSSD Festival returns with a spectacular two-day lineup to top their first, featuring Maceo Plex, Odesza, Gorgon City, Cirez D, Jamie Jones, Hot Since ’82, Loco Dice and so many more. At night, they will also be having a plethora of events for the weekend warriors. Over at Bassmnt on Saturday, Datsik and Bais Haus team up for an energy-filled headlining set as they kick off their debut tour as the dynamic duo, EPHWURD, bringing the bass following their Beatport-streamed set in Denver at Beta Nightclub.
DJ Sneak taps into the underground with Art of Sound making his way to an underground near or around downtown Saturday, March 5, and brings along the doc of all doctors -- Doc Martin. If you didn’t get to catch warehouse party No. 1, We Love The Tech is hosting a thank-you party at another location to be disclosed -- so get to searching on the night of the event!
If you’ve had your ear to the floor of the house scene, you know Michael Calfan has been hot on the trail with original hits like "Mercy" or remixes being supported by all, like Duke Dumont’s "Ocean Drive." On March 12, he graces the decks at Bang Bang. The same night, Clique takes you to the Hole in the Wall with SoCal hero Halo. If you like supporting the local scene, House Music Fridays at AC Lounge has been shoulder-to-shoulder on the dance floor with funky, groovy, all-around house music every Friday.
For those into the future house/future bass scene, Nightbass label owner teams up with Bang Bang to host a label showcase with secret guests to be announced Thursday, March 24. Omnia plays host on Friday, March 25, to the man making everyone “put their hands up,” Fedde Le Grand, while Fluxx invites you for a special Sunday night double-header show with Party Favor and OWSLA favorite, Valentino Khan, on March 27.
On top of all those great events, the month of March has me headed down to Tijuana, Miami and back to San Diego for a variety of gigs!

Following that, I will be headed to Miami for Ultra Music Festival week, where I’ll be doing an intimate set on Friday, March 18, at the Wine Vault in South Beach, followed by a special set at Ultra Music Festival. Then I make my way back to Tijuana for a set at ZKA inside of the Xolos soccer stadium casino nightclub on Friday, March 25. And lastly, on Tuesday, March 29, I invite you to join us for some tacos and beats in the Gaslamp at Atomic, where I’ll be dropping a special future bass set for the guys at Omnifik at their Tuesday night weekly.
