Locals Descend on Napa Valley for Bottle Rock

From Rebecca Jade to Santana, Neon Trees' Tyler Glenn and more

Napa Valley better be ready, because current and former residents of the greater San Diego area are about to descend on Bottle Rock music festival en masse.

As usual, Redwoods Music is sending Rebecca Jade & the Cold Fact as the collective's ambassador. Aside from pursuing her own efforts with the Redwoods, Rebecca joined former Prince drummer Sheila E.’s (herself closely connected to San Diego music royalty) band last year.

Santana, who grew up in Tijuana, will be taking a break from his multi-year residency at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas to join the party as well.

And then there's the sneaky San Diegans like Neon Trees' Tyler Glenn, who is originally from Temecula and got his band name from a local In-N-Out's lighted tree signs and Flogging Molly's Matt Hensley, who is from North County and commutes north to Los Angeles for rehearsal.

As if that weren't enough reason to get excited about Bottle Rock, Jeff Goldblum (yes, that Jeff Goldblum) is bringing the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra to town and Los Angeles' Valley Queen, featuring occasional Lulls collaborator Neil Wogensen, will be there as well.
