Rumor's KIND Fundraiser Brings Local Bands to Park & Rec

Rumor Recordings brings Boychick, Ingonoir, Common Ivy and more to Park & Rec on Thursday, Oct. 24, to support KIND

Kindness is in short supply these days. Fortunately, there's a charity that's all about it, and Rumor Recordings is bringing local artists Boychick, Ingonoir, Common Ivy and more to Park & Rec (4612 Park Blvd.) on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 8-11 p.m. to support the organization.

That charity is Kids in Need of Defense, aka KIND, which raises funds for refugee and immigrant children so they don't have to face immigration court alone. The organization provides pro bono legal representation for children who get caught in the immigration system without a parent or legal guardian.

Along with the music, Rumor is tapping local clothing vendors for the KIND fundraiser, and a portion of the proceeds from those vendors' sales will go toward helping those children from more than 70 countries.

Otherwise, you can head to University Heights on Thursday, because the charity event is open to the public.

Boychick headline Rumor Recordings' Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) charity event at Park & Rec on Thursday, Oct. 24.
